If current trends continue, Gallup predicts that the proportion of LGBTQ+ adults will exceed 10% within the next three decades. Despite this, LA-based VC firm Backstage Capital estimates that LGBTQ+ founders still receive less than 1% of venture capital funding—a stagnant and staggeringly low figure.
